Globally, less than 2% of parliamentarians are under 30 years old.
Voter turnout among 18-25-year-olds continues to be lower than other age groups.
Young people are not at the center of political decision-making even though almost half the world’s population is under 30 years old.
What does #PeaceandJustice mean as a goal?
We have a couple of targets that we are trying to hit by 2030, the world’s major deadline. Meaning, if we hit them, we achieve the overall goal.
1.) End of violence everywhere.
Significantly reduce all forms of violence and related death rates everywhere.
2.) Equal access to legal services.
Promote the rule of law at the national and international levels and ensure equal access to justice for all .
3.) Protection of fundamental rights.
Ensure public access to information and protect fundamental freedoms, in accordance with national legislation and international agreements.
